Bartending & Mixology Education Course

The difference between an average bartender and a great bartender is that an average bartender needs a great venue to make money whereas a great bartender will make money at any establishment. We help create great bartenders! The Bartending & Mixology Education Course at Grand Strand School of Bartending is structured for completion of 12 hours of classroom instruction. The tuition for the class is $495.00 payable one week prior to your class start date. If a student withdrawals after enrollment from class there will be a $150.00 withdrawal fee retained. Class size is limited to 4 people.

Though it's already been established that there is no official certification in bartending, state licensing of the school as a higher learning institution may give you additional peace of mind that your tuition dollars are well spent. Licensing ensures that at least the minimum standards have been met to document school curriculum, costs and procedures, and that those details have been evaluated and approved by the state. Grand Strand School of Bartending is licensed by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
Job placement assistance is another serious consideration in determining the best school for you. While no institution can guarantee employment upon program completion, Grand Strand School of Bartending administrators will gladly provide referrals to students who have satisfied course requirements.

The facility in which Grand Strand School of Bartending classes are held is easily accessible from just about anywhere along the Grand Strand because of proximity to 17 Bypass. Travel to and from classes should be as time-efficient as possible in our tourist town and the options for course scheduling are designed for flexibility around your existing schedule. TiPS Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures)

Tips ensures that you receive training on the regulations and guidelines that affect you in your role when serving or selling alcohol and the liability involved.
The Grand Strand School of Bartending offers a TIPS Certification course at the school site provided by a TIPS Certified Trainer to make classroom certification more easily accessible. This valuable three year certification course honored in ALL 50 states in the US is designed for completion in one class and covers the On Premise TIPS curriculum. This course may be taken to establish first-time TIPS Certification or to renew certification that has expired. Upon successful completion of the final exam, your TIPS Certification Card will be sent to your address by postal mail. All study materials required for certification are included in the $145.00 tuition fee. Students that choose to take both the Bartending & Mixology Education Course and TIPS Certification will receive $15.00 off the cost of their TIPS Certification tuition. Grand Strand School of Bartending reserves the right to cancel classes.
